Who Says Boys Don't Wear Pink?
Although associated with girls, pink, especially vintage pink, has a long association with men. Unlike bold bubblegum or pastel pinks, which can feel playful or overtly youthful, vintage pink takes on a subtle, earthy character; its restraint and depth make it closer to burgundy, rosewood, or other shades that feel grounded, mature, and inherently timeless in men’s style.
Vintage pink also carries a youthful warmth that makes it eternally fresh and modern. The crisp knit texture of this tie enhances its relaxed charm and highlights the versatility of vintage pink, making this tie an excellent choice for casual ensembles or for festive and creative formal occasions, like outdoor daytime weddings.

What To Avoid
It’s best to avoid pairing a vintage pink silk knit tie with dress shirts or jackets in bright red, bold orange, or vivid greens, as these can clash harshly with the subtlety of vintage pink and create a discordant look. Very saturated pastels, like mint or turquoise, may also compete with vintage pink, making the overall effect feel busy rather than harmonious. Additionally, overly dark blacks, especially in textured fabrics, can make the tie’s color look washed out.

This Tie Has a Dynamic Zigzag Pattern
This silk knit tie showcases an intricate zigzag pattern knitted directly into the silk, creating alternating bands of texture and subtle negative space. The result is a dynamic play of structure and movement that enriches the tie’s surface, especially when paired with our expansive range of color options.
This Tie Makes You Look Better
Unlike plain knit ties, this zigzag design adds a striking layer of visual interest. Its rhythmic pattern naturally draws the eye upward, ensuring your face, and not just the tie itself, remains the focal point. This makes it particularly effective for settings where presence and confidence are key.
This Tie Is Timeless
Balancing vintage charm with a touch of retro-futuristic flair, this zigzag silk knit tie is both timeless and unexpected. Carefully crafted to Fort Belvedere’s exacting standards, it offers the texture and hand of luxurious silk combined with a distinctive pattern that sets you apart as a gentleman who appreciates refinement without sacrificing personality.
Please Note: Because this tie was knitted flat and shaped on a wooden mold, a small amount of size contraction takes place immediately after the tie is removed from the mold. As the fabric relaxes over time, the width and length of the tie will increase slightly. Keep in mind that as a handmade product, all stated dimensions are approximate and actual dimensions will vary slightly.
As a general rule, our ties have a length tolerance of 1.5" - 4 cm

Sized To Fit You
The dimensions of our neckties are proportional to your height.
SHORT: For those who are 5’8” or 173 cm or shorter. REGULAR: For those between 5'9" or 175 cm and 6'2" or 188 cm. LONG: For those who are 6’3” or 190 cm or taller.
Please Note: If you prefer to wear trousers with a higher rise and are in-between sizes, it may be better to size down so that the necktie does not fall below your waistband when tied.
Knit from the Finest Silk
Sourced from the most exacting mills and knit by skilled Italian artisans, this silk knit tie is made from the best, by the best, for the best. Unlike our cri de la soie silk knit ties, this silk has a less crunchy texture, giving it a smoother appearance suited to its unique zigzag knit pattern.
A Heritage of Excellence
Crafted in the heart of Italy’s Lombardy region near Lake Como, a world-renowned center of fine textile artistry, these silk knit ties come from a prestigious heritage workshop that has been perfecting the craft since the 1930s, still family-owned and guided by the descendants of its original founders. Each piece embodies generations of Italian elegance, refinement, and timeless style.
Classic Style That Looks To the Future
In addition to their unwavering dedication to exceptional raw materials, our manufacturer also privileges sustainably sourced yarns. Guided by a deep respect for people, the environment, and Italian tradition, their creations embody both elegance and conscience.
This passion for ethical, eco‑friendly Classic Style drives meaningful change at every stage of production.
Cleaning
Do not attempt to wash this silk knit tie. If you notice a stain, we strongly suggest that you have the tie dry cleaned.
If you wish to attempt a spot-cleaning at home, do so using the following procedure at your own risk.
Gently blot any excess liquid from the stain with a soft, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can damage the silk fibers.
Fill a small bowl with lukewarm water and add a few drops of mild detergent.
Dip a clean, white cloth into the soapy water and wring out excess moisture. Dab the stain gently with the damp cloth.
Moisten another clean cloth with plain lukewarm water and dab the tie to remove soap residue.
Pat the cleaned area with a dry cloth. Then, lay the tie flat on a towel to air dry completely.
Storage
To prevent heavy creasing, never store your neck wear tied or knotted.
Undo the knot and then roll the necktie up in a firm but not excessively tight coil.
Allow it to sit in the coil for about a day to relax wrinkles.
To reduce stretching, knit ties should be stored rolled or flat.
Why This Tie Stands Out
A defining aspect of the silk knit tie is its effortless, casual charm. With its plush texture and intricate weave, a silk knit tie offers up an unexpected visual treat. It emphasizes your face and draws attention like a conventional tie, but does so with the unexpected element of texture, rather than just the colors and patterns of conventional ties.
This is especially true of our zigzag ties, with their meticulously knitted strong diagonal detailing.
Expanded Styling
Because of the subtle sheen of our exceptional-quality silk, even a solid-colored tie appears to have a gradient of lighter and darker hues depending on the light. As a result, it is even easier for you to pick out a wider range of colors in your ensemble for an intentional, coordinated appearance.
Vintage Vibes, Modern Flair
The silk knit tie was a fixture of casual attire during the Golden Age of Menswear. By the 1980s, however, it had vanished from the mainstream, supplanted by more conventional ties as unique neckwear fell out of favor.
This classic pedigree gives the silk knit time a vintage charm, redolent of a more elegant and gracious way of living. Its texture and coloration, however, imparts a modernity that ensures that the tie never seems stuffy or old-fashioned.
Details & Specs
Exquisite Zigzag Pattern
The hallmark of this tie is its unique zigzag pattern, attentively knitted into the tie during production. With its interplay of negative space and silk, this pattern elevates the tie and gives it an individual, bespoke appearance, perfect for those who prefer to stand out with subtly.
Flat Knitted
Most other knit ties are round-knitted, but the yarns for our knit ties are flat-knitted in a painstaking process that requires the workmanship of skilled artisans, but that also produces a superior tie.
Hand Finished Tie
Once the knitting process is complete, our knit ties are carefully sewn by hand down the center seam for an elegant drape and improved longevity.
Attentive Oversight
From the moment that our knit ties are first spun until the tops and bottoms are sewn shut and the labels are attached, quality inspectors ensure that every article is made according to the exacting standards of the Fort Belvedere name.
Knit Tie with Conventional Point
Most silk knit ties feature a squared-off blade because of the knitting process. For added refinement and exclusive appeal, this tie has a conventional blade. How did we do it? By painstakingly removing the knitting to create the standard point. Did it require extra time? Yes. Was it worth it? YES!
